The beauty business has always been in Got Beauty founder Tammy Taylor's blood. Her grandmother helped develop Max Factor and Redken, her uncle and several cousins are makeup artists for movie studios and her father opened Utah's first retail beauty supply chain, Taylor Maid Beauty Supply. That was in the mid-1970's and Taylor spent summers working with him, learning as she says, "that it was possible for a person to actually make a living and enjoy it. Work not being a chore has been a wonderful lesson."

She built up her first business to the point where it was bought by a national chain, took a few years off and then opened a virtual beauty store called Gotbeauty.com. Demand and customers wanting to shop the warehouse led to the opening of the first brick and mortar Got Beauty salon, spa and boutique, in the heart of the Sugarhouse District of Salt Lake City.

All women have certain things in common. We appreciate beauty, quality, and respect. We love to be surprised and delighted! That is why we carefully select products that reflect all of those things. Years of trial and error as well as keeping a close eye on trends allow us to have the perfect product mix. It is vitally important to us that we listen to our customers and get their feedback. We are constantly looking. We love that our product mix is never old or stale, and that our clients are never bored with us and can always expect to be surprised when they visit.

Our dream and vision for Got Beauty is that our customer base and our business will only continue to grow. We have worked hard to develop systems to ensure that our customers will always have a very personal and quality experience. We want them to always feel surprised, comfortable and empowered by the items and services we provide, not matter how large we become.
